Who We Are
Let Them Be Kids is an all volunteer organization and is made up of business leaders, recreation practitioners, as well as experts from various fields and most importantly a lot of regular Moms and Dads; who are all dedicated to making tomorrow a little bit better than it was yesterday for today's generation as well as the ones to come.
LTBK was started over a decade ago by Ian and Gina Hill in an attempt to help the homeless children of their own local community. The concept was that if adults did their jobs in helping to build strong families, neighborhoods and communities then the kids could just be kids, hence the name Let Them Be Kids.
The Let Them Be Kids Program was launched across Canada in 2006 when LTBK identified a deep need across the country; groups, large and small, needed assistance in securing of funds for the building of play structures for children who may not have the availability of safe, secure places to play.
Today, Let Them Be Kids is an outcomes based impact focused organization that has clearly defined desired outcomes with clearly outlined impacts from those outcomes.
These outcomes are achieved through our community projects and programs; including the Kool- Aid Smiles and Helping Hands awards.
