LTBK Thunder Bay McKellar Park Community Playground Build

The Need...

McKellar Park Central School is a school of 260 students from Kindergarten to Grade eight. It is a community school that provides a safe place to play for many children in the area. We want to create a positive outdoor learning environment for our students including a learning garden and safe playground equipment.

The Activity...

In one day the volunteers will build a playground, create learning gardens and redecorate our front entrance.

The Impact...

This volunteer opportunity will help to mobilize the community n creating a safe place for our children. In addition, this experience provides the participants with a sense of involvement and ownership in the children’s educational experience.
