What Can You Do To Help?

In order to complete this important project, we need your help! Please see the list below for ways in which you may be of assistance.

Donate your time as a volunteer to assist on community build day (June 14th).
Help provide food & water for volunteers.
Assist with kids activities on build day.
Provide monetary, or in-kind donations to assist in land preparation.

Coxheath Community Playground Build

THE BACKGROUND

When Oland Heights Subdivision was constructed in 1993, land was set aside for recreational development. Several years later, following a community meeting with Councillor Claire Detheridge (October 2007 at Coxheath Volunteer Fire Dept.), an initial group of 10 volunteers joined together to form the Oland Heights Recreation Association. Support continues to grow as neighbours get to know one another and work together towards a common goal – to build a new play area in our community!

OBJECTIVES

To create a safe, central play area for children to learn, play & discover.
To enhance the appearance of the area (currently a vacant lot).
To create a green space that can be enjoyed by all residents.

In one day, volunteers will build a playground in Oland Heights Subdivision that will include:

Swings
Slides
Climbing elements
Green space

BUILD DAY

All are invited to participate on our BUILD DAY, June 14, 2008. In order for us to plan the day's activities, we ask that you pre-register for the events you wish to become involved with. Please click on the link below to take you to the Registration form.
