Nominate a Community Action Project
If you have a vision or know of a project that needs to happen in your local neighborhood, town or Community, we want to help! We have awards to help with the building of playgrounds, skate parks, fitness parks and the development of community gathering spaces. We also have other forms of support to assist Community action, lets us know what you are doing and we will see if we can help!
Join a Community Building Class or Take Advantage of the Free Tools
In February, Let Them Be Kids will launch a first of its kind Knowledge and Mentor Centre. This on-line learning portal will have all the training, tools, and templates you will need to plan, organize, launch and complete a Community Action Project! If you or your organization are looking for something a little more intense then join the next session of Becoming a Community Builder-15 week professional development series!

Host a House Party or Organize a Community Gathering
Join thousands of others across Canada by hosting a “Let Them Be Kids-Its not about a playground” House Party or Potluck. Hosting your own House Party is simple: Order a DVD of the Movie and Hosting a Community Gathering packet (it is all free, even the shipping) and invite your friends and family over to your home, and have a party to talk about some community action! You could also work with others to set up a community gathering viewing at a school, church or community hall. It is free, fun and we give you all the tools to bring people together around the common goal of making tomorrow a little better than yesterday in your community.
Request a Movie Showing at a Local Theatre
Do you think “Let Them Be Kids-Its not about a playground” is a film your whole town should see to help inspire action in your Community? We can help you can ask your local theater to show the movie, there is no cost whatsoever to you or the Theater. The only stipulation is that there must be free admission to the showing (although concessions may be sold). Typically if a locally owned Theater gets 150-200 requests, they will show the requested film.
